I have updated to sp2 and beyond, however, recently while at windows update, I came across microsoft update. The message stated that the process is automatic just like in windows update. I dont use automatic updates because my connection to the internet is not broadband and therefore will slow down my surfing speed

MICROSOFT - PLEASE TRY HARDER We all make mistakes (Office Watch isn't immune) but this is not the first time that updates have been published in a sloppy and inconsistent fashion. It is past time that 'Trustworthy Computing' included consistency on the Microsoft security and update web pages.

When I try to update Microsoft Update on Win98SE operating system I get an error message: Error: C:\TEMP\IXP000.TMP\IXP000.TMP\SR1PATCH\source.ini can't be opened. Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 setup ended prematurely because of an error. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done to fix this error.
